Favorite Things Series [3] – Travel Edition

This post is showcasing a few of our favorite travel items! Tharon and I have been sailing and traveling full-time for the past couple years. Before that, we’d take small trips and do some solo travels but traveling via sailboat has been the most freeing form of travel we’ve ever experienced. Our experience in travel is a bit unique and think you’ll definitely enjoy the some of these favorite travel items. As we’ve already written a couple travel gift guides (here and here), we are listing only our top five favorite things for any kind of travel. We hope you enjoy!

Osprey Packs

We have a small collection of Osprey packs and still haven’t gotten our complete fill. They are universal for every sort of travel you might be planning on and their style is my absolute favorite. In addition to their awesome style and universal convenience, their customer service is also something we highly commend. Sony a6000

I’ve only owned a couple nice cameras in my lifetime but this one could probably last a long time for the hobby photographer. It is one of my favorite things to travel with because I very much enjoy taking pictures (as you can see from having a blog) and making videos from the experiences we have. Although I am also using my cell phone for some of the footage, take a look at my Instagram and YouTube to see more from us. Anyways, back to this camera. It is a mirrorless digital camera with a convenient variety of E-mount lens. It’s easy to use and has lots of features to make it a universal favorite for point and shoot photographers. Comfortable Tennis Shoes

If you enjoy sight-seeing, then you’re going to need comfortable tennis shoes while traveling. Tennis shoes have become one of the most important things I ALWAYS pack.  They’re great for morning workouts, hiking around parks, going on a shopping spree, or just walking around lots. I’m always a fan of tennis shoes and I hope they’re on your travel list too. These ones from Nike are on sale!

     

Wireless Headphones

If you don’t own wireless headphones yet, I promise you they will change your lives. These have become one of my favorite things on an everyday basis not just while traveling. Here are some great options – 

     

Dry Shampoo

The cat’s out of the bag, we don’t shower everyday. To help keep my hair and scalp fresh between showers, we use dry shampoo. It’s incredible how much better you feel with a few sprits of dry shampoo and that’s why it’s always a go-to travel favorite. Here are some tried and true brands  in travel sizes –
