Besides the sailboats, another favorite part of this show are the cocktails!
Pusser’s Rum
It’s necessary to have at least one Painkiller from Pusser’s when you arrive to the show. These are made from delicious Pusser’s Rum straight out of the Caribbean. Created in the tropical paradise of the British Virgin Islands where the PAINKILLER has become the favorite tipple of sailors and landlubbers alike. Comes in 3 strengths: No’s 2, 3, & 4. Here’s the recipe if you’d like to make one of these cocktails at home!
Painkiller – The Secret Recipe
- 2, 3, or 4 parts Pusser’s Navy Rum
- 4 parts pineapple juice
- 1 part cream of coconut
- 1 part orange juice
Serve on the rocks. Stir & grate fresh nutmeg on top.

Hendrick’s Gin
Our favorite part of the sailboat show is always the Hendrick’s Gin Barge! Their gin is unusual in the best of ways & their entertainment never disappoints. If you’ve not had it before, go to the store and grab ingredients for this next recipe. They provide a variety of cocktails throughout the show but this is absolutely my favorite!
Flora Dora
2 parts Hendrick’s Gin
1 part fresh lime juice
1/2 part raspberry syrup –> If you don’t feel like juicing raspberries, use this grenadine.
Topped with ginger beer
Build all ingredients in high ball over cubed ice. Garnish with a fresh raspberry & lime.

Papa Pilar’s Rum
Oh so good! Dedicated to one of the greatest adventurers out there, Ernest Hemingway. Give this rum a chance in your future cocktails, it’s delicious!
“It’s as if an imagination is intermingling salt water with desert, sea with plain, creatures of the deep with creatures of the bush.” – Ernest Hemingway
Papa’s Summer Punch
1.5 parts Papa’s Pilar Rum
4 parts guava, mango, & passion fruit juices
Serve over ice. Garnish with Serrano slices.
